When you meet that special someone for the first time you know deep within your heart that they are perfect for you. This is it. This is what you had been waiting for since quite long to happen.

As it is said, “Someday someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else.”

Suddenly it feels wonderful to be alive, the world becomes a beautiful place and we start wondering what love is. Is it the warm feeling that gushes over when we see that special person? Is it the shivers you get down your spine when you hold hands? Is it the blush that comes on your face when your eyes meet? Or is it something much more than that?

Love is all of this and much more. Love is the greatest gift God gave to mankind. Love is pure happiness. Love is what happens only once, but lasts for a lifetime. It is the most wonderful thing to happen to anyone. Love is what makes the world go round. Love is trusting someone and knowing that it will never be broken. Love is feeling giddy and having faith you will be held securely incase you fall. Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, the romance and you find out you still care for that person. Love is not confusion. What remains after that confusion subsides is love!! The best form of expressing love is silence – sitting together, holding hands, gazing into each other’s eyes, feeling the magic of love, saying nothing yet feeling you have had the best conversation ever in your lifetime. And this feeling can’t be replaced by the costliest gifts on this earth.

What is love?

The moment I hear the question what is love? My answer always is this. Love is.  Those two words hold the entire meaning of love for me. When I was asked to write about my own version of love, my mind instantly ran to the nearest rescue I could find – music. For me, love is music, a song that your heart dances to and a rhythm that has the capacity to capture your soul. Love is the language of the universe, the one in which one soul converses with the other.
